Heritage Regional High School Indigenous Mural

November 2023, Montreal, Quebec

Co-Lead Artist, Community-engaged

These 2 murals (30 foot wall, and 60 foot wall) were created over the course of 4 days in collaboration with fellow muralist Jimmy Baptiste. The school had asked for an Indigenous representation mural, so we included many important themes such as youth, the aurora & night sky/ancestors being braided into the water by an elder’s hands, lacrosse, diverse landscapes, animals & plants, and more. It’s hard to capture the scope of these 2 walls in a few photos, head to my Instagram to view the video.

Art Trail Series

April 2023

AOG Art Trail Commission, set of 4

AOG Art Gallery, Frankville, Ontario

Lead Artist, Private Commission

This commission included a series of 4 panel murals for an art trail open to public access. The focus on this piece was to highlight species in the area where the trail is located; including some endangered or threatened species. The Blanding’s Turtle was the main pull in this series, considering there is a high number of mortality in this region due to vehicle traffic and loss of wetland habitat. Next we included the Eastern Meadowlark; who are grass-nesting birds, which is also an endangered/threatened species due to habitat loss. Third we included the Coyote, which often have the misfortune of being given a bad reputation. Lastly we represented the Barred Owl, which is particularly special to the client, as they often nest in their barn.

Public access is available to view these pieces, located at 47 Leacock Rd, Frankville, Ontario within the trail. More photos and videos of the process on these can be found on my Instagram.

Caldwell Community Mural

July 2022

Caldwell Community Housing, MASC, Ottawa Community Housing, City of Ottawa

Lead Artist, Community-led and engaged

This 30 foot mural on rough brick was the most lovely experience I’ve ever had painting a community mural. The imagery and meaning behind this piece was created by the youth who painted it. There was a desire to see representation of community and social justice, as well as the natural elements that add vibrancy and beauty to the community of Caldwell. This piece was one of three murals created within the Caldwell community, alongside my talented close friend and muralist Kseniya Tsoy. Please checkout my Instagram for more information and photos.
