This piece was created while I reflected on the devastation that a recent storm had caused in a forest across from my home. I was walking through the bush and I saw a tree stump uprooted, and at the centre of this tree was such a deep dark cavity. I immediately imagined the forest as the mysterious, intimate, and spiritual entity that it is and wondered about this tree as a depiction of the cosmos, with several elements of the forest floor surrounding it. Throughout this thought process, a chatty crow was perched on a nearby tree. This is meant to show you versions of the forest that I see.
